Ever since we saw the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE at the New York International Auto Show, The Drive has been craving to learn everything we could about the highly anticipated track-focused muscle car. Not only has Chevy debuted some additional stats about the Camaro, the automaker has also unveiled a new extremely track-friendly package for the top-line muscle car.

The 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package will run customers an additional $7,500 bringing the total value of the car to a cool $69,995, according to a press release from Chevy. The loss of $7,500 gets customers improved aerodynamics, suspension, and handling.

The ZL1 1LE package includes a carbon fiber rear wing as well as air deflectors and drive planes on the front fascia. These added bits improve the downforce needed for precise maneuvering at high speeds on the track. The ZL1 1LE also gets the increasingly popular lightweight Multimatic DSSV that allows the driver to adjust the suspension (front ride height) as well as have an adaptive ride. The driver can also adjust the rear stabilizer bar for the ideal track performance desired.

The wheels and tires of the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE are also more track focused than the standard ZL1. The lightweight forged aluminum wheels have an extra inch of width, thus more contact with the fast-moving track below. Although the aluminum wheels are wider, they are an inch less in diameter and 3.3 pounds lighter over all. When all is said and done, the whole car weighs 60 pounds less than the standard Camaro ZL1.
