The holiday season is one of the best car events of the year. It’s not quite like taking kids to their first race or auto show. Still, tearing the wrapping paper off a shiny new car toy can create a lifelong love of things that go fast. I love nothing more than to spread the disease car nuts call a passion. That’s why I’m happy to share best Cyber Monday car toy deals running now.
Let’s start with Hot Wheels. The 1:64 scale die-cast cars are a staple for enthusiasts of all ages. My son has literally thousands of them all over our house. This Hot Wheels Toy Car Track Set, Mega Track Pack for $23.99 is a prime example of a toy that is also a physics lab. It comes with 87 pieces, or 40 feet of track, that will have kids racing cars in or outdoors for hours. If you want something motorized, then the Hot Wheels Sky Crash Tower for $49.97 will launch cars through the air and around corkscrews and loops.
I’ve included two building sets that aren’t hiding their scientific agenda. The first is Engino-Stem Toys, Newton’s Laws Inertia, Kinetic & Potential Energy for $33.99. Once you start understanding some basic Newtonian Physics, you see the world differently than other people. You see order in chaos, and understand that there are basic rules that govern the behavior of the universe. Plus, you get to build cool things that move! There’s also the Makeblock mBot Robot Kit, Robotics, Learn to Code with Scratch & Arduino for $54.39. I might order this for my son and I to play with. I haven’t played with Arduino, and I feel like I’m missing out.
Next, we have Playmobil and LEGO sets. These two are classified together quite often because they are both European brands of toys that kids have to assemble. The difference is, Playmobil is more like a model in that the kit builds one thing. LEGO is obviously a building system. And all of its sets can be taken apart and used to build whatever you want. Playmobil toys are ridiculously high-quality. They look great and are fun for adults to display and even more fun for kids to play with. I don’t think I need to say anything about LEGO. Maybe just that all of the sets below are discounted, which is unusual.
