I know some people think a gift card is impersonal, but for many of us, they really are ideal. Even those who know you the best may not know what is and isn’t already in your toolbox. They also don’t know what your upcoming projects are or what new skills you want to learn. If you were lucky enough to get Home Depot gift cards recently, I’m here to help you make some good decisions on how to use them. These BOGO tool deals are the perfect way to use them.

All the major tool brands are competing for loyalty right now. If you don’t already have a favorite brand or you’re thinking about changing, you can jump in with a battery starter combo. You get two or three battery packs with a charger then you pick from a list of free tools. Milwaukee’s is a three-battery deal and you can get it for $299.00. At the other end of the price spectrum is a Ryobi two-battery set you get for just $99.00. DeWalt, Ridgid, and Makita are all there in the inbetwen.

I also listed some starter tool sets. Most people aren’t going to be using a hammer drill when working on a car. But, I’m not going to judge. Most of them have a switch to turn off the hammer mode, so then it works like a regular drill. Or, most car people also have a list of home projects you need to do. So use it for those. Anyway, for $299.00 you can choose either a Milwaukee combo or a DeWalt combo, both of which come with a hammer drill and a compact impact driver, batteries, charger, and a bag. But, you also get to pick another free tool to go along with it. And again, you can do the same thing with Ryobi and get the same combo for just $149.00 if you’d like.

Below the battery/power tool deals, I’ve listed a few other tools that are on sale at great prices right now. They’re also the kinds of things that you wouldn’t normally buy for yourself, but you can splurge a little bit since you have a gift card. Happy shopping.
