Hi, my name is Mike, and I have a helmet problem. I don’t have a lack of helmet problem; I have a surplus of helmet problem. How bad is it? I was going to say I have X number of helmets to demonstrate, and then I couldn’t remember what that X is. I have open-face helmets, I have full-face helmets, and I have full-face helmets for open cockpits. These are all for car racing, so none have DOT ratings, but I can only imagine my problem would be even worse if I were buying them to wear all the time on public roads. Luckily, with the sale going on at Revzilla, I could fill another closet with motorcycle helmets without going bankrupt because Schuberth, Shoei, and Sedici helmets are discounted as much as 50% off.
Simpson is one of the brands that dates way back in safety equipment. The company has been around for 65 years and has made helmets for 45 of them. I’ve owned at least one Bandit, but even with my deep selection, I don’t have a single camo helmet, so this Simpson Ghost Bandit Comanche for $257.48 might be something I would consider. I do own a couple of black helmets, both matte and shiny, but since black goes with everything, I’d get this Biltwell Gringo S ECE Helmet for $149.99 if I ever pulled the trigger on the retro cafe bike I’ve dreamt of. I do have a carbon fiber helmet, but it’s painted and I wish I had a bare finish like this Sedici Sistema II Carbon Helmet for $269.99 which is a third or a quarter of what an FIA or Snell certified carbon fiber helmet would cost.
There’s a huge selection of helmets below. I even threw in a couple of moto helmets in youth sizes at the bottom. You can get the kids into bikes too without spending a ton of money.
