One of my favorite holiday memories is watching the nightly news and seeing adults shopping at Toys R Us in Christmas fisticuffs over whatever the hottest thing their kid had to have that year. The moral of the story? Shop early. And Christmas is about Capitalism. So, to keep you from having to fight off other holiday shoppers, I’ve rounded up some of the best holiday gifts for car lovers on your list; and maybe some stuff for yourself. But, if you shop now and shop online, it won’t turn into an MMA-Holiday.
To start out, I was in my favorite bike/coffee shop last week, Pedal & Pour here in Las Vegas. If you’re ever in town and want a coffee, and want to run into me, there’s a good chance that’s where it will happen. Anyway, they had the Wera Advent Calendar on display that was waiting to be picked up by a customer. These normally sell out, as get this one early. The list price on this is about 100 bucks, but you can get on Amazon for $76.00. For just $42.49 I found an EDC Advent Calendar that has an assortment of things more survival-oriented than what I would normally everyday carry. But, spoilers, there’s still a flashlight, a spork, and a multitool.
For the last Advent Calendars, I found some for the kids, and grown-up kids. There’s the Monster Jam 24 Days of Monster Trucks Calendar for $59.99. This was getting low on stock when I wrote this, so hurry up. There’s also the Hot Wheels Advent Calendar for $44.88 that you’ll have to order from Walmart because Amazon is already sold out.
There’s other gift ideas that likely won’t last long on shelves. This Knipex limited edition Holiday Set is $101.21 on Amazon and the list price is $125.66. There’s also a slot car track that’s going to be tough to find, but is more aimed at collectors and I even found some ugly Christmas sweaters. Happy shopping and remember to keep your guard up.
