I’ve been an Apple Watch owner for years. But recently, I’ve started alternating between my Ultra 2 and a Garmin Fenix. Both have pros and cons; which one I prefer comes down to what I’m doing with it that day. Although you don’t often find these discounted, during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, you will find meaningful savings on all sorts of smartwatches and other electronics to go with them.

Even though I have a Garmin Fenix 7, I am trying to control myself and not buy this Garmin Epix Smartwatch for $399.99. It is normally a $900.00 flippin watch, and it has an AMOLED screen that my model of Fenix does not. I have been trying to get way more serious about my fitness over the last year at my doctor’s request. Gamifying it has helped my motivation immensely. My smartwatches, especially the Fenix, have really helped, but more data is always better. You can get that with a cycling computer. And although this Garmin Edge 530 has recently been superseded with a 540 model, at just $199.99 it is a screamin’ deal. FYI, if you want the 540, it’s $399.99—twice as much!

Another fitness product that has worked its way into the rest of my life is my bone-conduction headphones. I have the Shokz Open Run Pro. Yeah I’m literally wearing them as I type this. I bought them for cycling but wear them all the time. They’re great for working in the garage for the same reason they work on the bike. They don’t cover your ear holes. So you can hear everything going on around you, while still listening to music, taking a call, or telling your son you’ll start dinner as soon you finish this 5-minute job you’ve been working on for the last 3 hours. I paid $180 for mine and they were worth every penny, but for Prime Days, they’re only $124.95.

I’ve already mentioned that I have had Apple Watches for years, with my latest being an Ultra 2. Mine is the old silver case model. It’s hard for me to believe, but the new black case Ultra 2 is on sale for $729.99, if you’ve been thinking about one, this is the time to buy. The Watch SE is also available starting as low as $169.00 from what I can see, but the price seems to change based on color and band size, so pay attention while ordering. These are still great deals on Apple Watches.
