Launching last September, Windows and Xbox One-exclusive Forza Horizon 3 has accumulated far more than the 350 cars it launched with, now featuring 10 car packs and two massive expansions. With Forza Motorsport 7 just around the corner, it’s hard to believe that Playground Games is still releasing content for its 2016 game, but Turn 10 Studios’ partnership with Hoonigan is continuing to pay off for Forza fans. Xbox released a trailer Thursday to show off the Hoonigan Car Pack, available in both Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7 and featuring 9 of Hoonigan Garage’s iconic heavily-modified drift missiles.
Along with the trailer, Forza’s blog released more details about the upcoming packs. Forza Horizon 3 owners can pick up the Hoonigan pack on August 15 either for $6.99 or for free if they preordered Forza 7. Gamers who preorder FM7:Ultimate Edition will receive the pack on September 29, and Standard Edition owners will get it when the game officially launches on October 3.
The packs are slightly different for each game, but feature the same number of cars. Both games get the Hoonigan-altered RWB Porsche 911 Turbo, Chevy Bel-Air, Chevy “Napalm Nova”, Ford Escort RS1800, Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion, and the 1400-horsepower Hoonicorn Mustang. The Horizon edition gets the Baldwin Motorsports “Loki” K5 Blazer, while the Holden Commodore Ute and Hoonigan-themed driver gear is exclusive to Forza 7.
This isn’t the first we’ve seen of the partnership, with Forza and Ken Block collaborating last year for the viral Gymkhana 9 video to promote Horizon 3. Fans can catch gameplay of the new cars on August 15th when Hoonigan’s Donut Garage will live stream the new DLC for a few hours and feature it on episodes of Daily Transmission.
