One last mention of Mazda’s weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca: The track is located across the highway from the SPCA of Monterey County, California, and each year Mazda reaches out to the animal shelter, and the shelter reaches back.
The past few years, Mazda has created a flyer and online ad featuring many of the adoptable animals, nicknaming them something that relates to the car company. What you see above is a small part of the presentation from last weekend.
It features dogs and cats, of course. And horses. Doves, pigeons, snakes. The SPCA for Monterey County is one of the nicest facilities in the country, and the animals that go there are lucky. But not as luck as the ones that go home with someone who will care for them forever.
Mazda has raised more than $100,000 for the shelter. It’s nice that Mazda does this. It’s a little thing, of course, except to the animals.
